October Kitchen was created in 2000 by Chef Paul Finney, as an opportunity to bring both food and knowledge to the table.
Chef Finney has been in the restaurant trade for over 15 years before joining the United States Personal Chef Association (USPCA) operating as a personal chef. He would travel from household to household, preparing customized weekly menus for clients and their families. It was the ideal situation for both Chef Finney and his clients, as he got to work directly with them to reduce dinnertime stresses and improve their health with honest nourishment.
Chef Finney spent the last ten years as a personal chef, cooking for clients on a routine basis; Everyday began with a trip to the market to collect the freshest ingredients to make each individual meal a success. It has been Chef Finney's dream to expand to serve hundreds and thousands of households. Since 2010, we have been growing and serving the Greater Hartford area with delicious and healthy, homestyle meals and bakery items.
Today, October Kitchen has expanded into a thriving delivery chef service. It provides families with delicious and healthy meals to give your body the nutrients it deserves.
The menus are not customized to each individual client but a "chef's choice" of local and seasonal foods. Weekly menus are inspired to be almost universally enjoyed with a special emphasis on reduced salt and reduced fat home style dishes. Our service is perfect for everyone young and old who may not choose to cook every night but still wants great home made meals.
