Back in 2000, we started with one chef, a pickup truck, a bunch of pots and pans and a mission-to bring delicious, nutritious meals to the people who need them. After a long career in fine restaurants, Chef Paul Finney started October Kitchen as a personal chef service. Every day began with a trip to the market for fresh ingredients to prepare custom menus for individual clients and families. Cooking in their homes, his clients became like family.

But there are only so many people you can cook for in a day. After ten years he took a great leap of faith and moved the business into a full commercial production kitchen. With our original forty clients, a lot of faith, family, friends, a small team of dedicated people, some luck and lots of hard work we have grown to serve over four thousand households in central Connecticut. Our retail store is a beacon for folks who need healthy, delicious meals and more, ready to go, right out the door!

What We Do

We now have a large, newly expanded location and a growing team of twenty - chefs, cooks, drivers, packagers, packers, administrators, and customer service staff. We offer fresh new menus every week and a curated collection of flash frozen favorites that are sure to please everybody. We cook fresh daily and are on a mission to provide delicious, nutritious meals to everyone who struggles in the kitchen or lacks the time or skills to create tasty, nutritious meals.

In a culture obsessed with convenience and technology we stick to our mission: our customers are family to us, and we treat them that way and feed them that way. With lovingly hand-crafted well-balanced meals that feed the soul as well as the body. We specialize in a weekly delivery service, especially to those who need heart healthy or lower sodium meals as well as a variety of other dietary concerns.

We are humbled to have become an integral part of so many individuals and family’s healthy lifestyle and are proud to do everything we can to keep our extended family happy, well-fed, independent and strong. Thank you to everyone who has helped make this story possible.
